Battlevoid: Sector Siege, the latest in Bugbyte‘s popular sci-fi series, has been announced. The new title, which has been built in a brand new engine, was detailed in the official forums on Monday.
Battlevoid: Sector Siege is a real-time strategy game set in space. You play as a human commander controlling a crew of scientists, pilots, engineers, and marines to battle against various alien races (Bugbyte says these will include the races from the previous game, Harbinger, and a new race called “Guardians”).
You can build and upgrade ships, research new technologies, capture resources and, of course, take part in space battles, in both campaign and skirmish modes.
If you’re a fan of outer-space shipbuilding and permadeath in the likes of Faster Than Light and Out There, it looks like this could be for you.
Battlevoid: Sector Siege is coming to Android and PC “sometime after this summer.” The game’s predecessor, Battlevoid: Harbinger is also currently on sale for $0.99 — check it out at the Play Store via the link below.
