MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) – Two people have been arrested in connection to a murder that occurred on Saturday night in Mobile.
Mobile Police responded to the Panera Bread parking lot at 3691 Airport Blvd around 7:53 p.m. When officers arrived on the scene, 24-year old Justin Edwards was found dead in the parking lot. Friends of Edwards also say he went by the name of “Jayy.”
“Justin was a sweet kind hearted person.. He loved playing basketball and would have made it if he was [given] a chance.. he made some mistakes but he learned from them and was trying to become a better man all the way around.. He loved his family and friends they were important to him… I hate his life was cut short but I also know that God makes no mistakes,“ says Adrienne Clarke.
According to Corporal Kenneth Gillespie with Mobile Police, 20-year old Ryland Kidd and 18-year old Taylor Law have been arrested in connection to the death of Edwards.
Kidd is charged with murder and Law is charged with felony murder.

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Mobile Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred around 7:45 p.m. in the Panera parking lot on Airport Blvd.
According to Lt. Black with Mobile Police, a black male who appears to be in his early 20’s was shot several times killing him. The suspect is a black male, slender build wearing dark clothing. He ran westbound toward Olive Garden.
There is word on a motive. News 5 is working to receive more information.
